Brands continue to deliver strong sales

Premium brands in the Coregeo® stable continue to take the fresh produce market by storm with our more established brands posting strong end-of-year results while our newest member has been buoyed by promising awareness levels.

Sales of Pink Lady® - the UK’s number one fresh produce brand – hit 59,640,000 kilos in 2017 while penetration rose to 83 per cent of the UK population. Visits to the brand’s website at www.pinkladyapples.co.uk also increased by 20 per cent year-on-year.

Tenderstem® - the UK’s number two fresh produce brand - smashed through the 10 million kilo sales figure for the first time ever to record end-of-year sales of 10.7 million kilos – 14 per cent up on the previous year. The Tenderstem® website at www.tenderstem.co.uk also saw a record number of visitors in 2017, with visits up by 68 per cent on the previous year.

Meanwhile, Bimi® – the brand name for Tenderstem® in mainland Europe and Scandinavia – saw sales rise by 50 per cent in 2017. Coregeo® took over the brand management of Bimi® in 2016.

Awareness of our newest brand, Metis®, is growing all the time too. Our first major activity for the brand in the autumn immediately generated 250,000 opportunities to see (OTS) and a further 2 million OTS in the future as a direct result of a collaboration with some key media titles.
